A NOTE FROM the owners:

  How it all started...

SEPTEMBER 1997 – Beginning Visions Child Development Center opened as Wee Care West. The facility was a new building with about 40 private paying children.

MAY 2000 -The Wee Care West name was changed to more clearly reflect our goals and philosophy. Our desire was, and is, to help instill visions in parents, families, and their children for their best future.

SEPTEMBER 2008 - Beginning Visions was the first daycare in the area to earn a 5 STAR rating. At the same time we joined with the Alamance County School system to offer the free "More at Four" program, now called free Pre-K for those who qualify.

" Our family is just like yours. Valerie has been a single mother and nurse; Roxanna, the Nana, a teacher and nurse; and Nelson, Grandpa, past owner of the Ol'Miner restaurant for 25 years. We were all working full time and having a hard time juggling good child care. Tyler was age 4 and Brittany, a toddler. We reevaluated our goals and God's will for our lives, and realized that the education and well-being of our children was the #1 priority. The love of children and the desire to be a positive influence in the lives of children eventually led us to giving up our careers and concentrating on child care and early childhood education.
